Celebrate WA Day at Gwoonwardu Mia!
Gwoonwardu Mia presents the WA Day Festival in Carnarvon – a celebration of community, culture, and connection in the heart of the Gascoyne. Taking place on Sunday 5 October, the festival brings together music, dance, storytelling, and cultural experiences that highlight the diversity and spirit of Western Australia.
The program features performances from local talents such as Raymond Edney, the Pundarra Dancers, and the Coral Spawn Dancers, alongside cultural displays, bush tucker tastings, bush tea mocktails, and family-friendly activities. Food trucks and entertainment create a welcoming atmosphere where people of all ages can come together to share and enjoy the richness of local traditions.
Proudly supported by BHP, the State Government and Lotterywest, the WA Day Festival at Gwoonwardu Mia is a free community event that celebrates what makes WA unique.
